Halloween Housewarming!
Rebecca Dunn has a new house that needs warming. . . the staff needs a party. . . and it's Halloween! What are the odds that all these things would coincide? It's an omen! So dust off your Halloween costume and bring your scariest food to the library on October 26 for a spooktacular luncheon! There will be three gift lists posted:
- What Rebecca's mom thinks she needs
- What Rebecca wants
- What we can afford
Remember, Bud Phillips is going to be in the large meeting room this Sunday, October 17, at three p.m. in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room to tell some Bristol ghost stories and to sell copies of his new book. I hope we'll have a good turn out. We'll have refreshments. Invite your friends and family, and we'll get the ghostie and ghoulie season off to a good start!
Health Care/Wendell Potter: In case you have people asking about either a meeting on Health Care or Wendell Potter, that event is on Saturday, October 16 from 1-4:30 pm in the J. Henry Kegley Meeting Room. It is NOT a library sponsored event but it will be of general interest to the public. For more information, they can call 276-619-1920.
Ruth Graham: This event is drawing a lot of interest, so it's being moved to the Paramount.. On Thursday, November 18th, Mrs. Graham will begin speaking at 7:00 pm; the doors will open at 6:00pm. Seating will be free to the public as long as space allows. Reserved seating is available for $20 per ticket. If anyone has questions or would like to purchase tickets, they can call Kathryn (276-821-6148). (Yes, the Discovery brochure says "Saturday, November 18" but it IS Thursday.)
Happy Birthday:
