New for November!

It's that time of year!  We fall back on Sunday, so remember to set your clocks back an hour. Just think, in 40 plus days (depending on when you read this) we'll start gaining about a minute a day instead of losing one a day.

Just in case you haven't heard, there is going to be a new Teen Book ClubPam Neal, librarian at Virginia High, will be leading it.  The emphasis will be on reading, along with some other activities.  Meetings will be Wednesdays 4:30- 6:30 pm starting this Wednesday, November 3. The first book up for discussion will be Fallout by Ellen Hopkins.

The Children's Department is encouraging everyone to do a Christmas tree with a children's book theme again this year.  Trees must be turned in for display by December 3.  Fortunately, there are many, many, many children's books with cats so Jeanne is set. It is to be hoped the rest of you  will be more creative.

There are two new children's programs starting in November. These are being done by parents and not the Children's Department.   They will meet in the children's department and are for children ages 8-12.

The Treasure Hunters AR Book Club   will meet on Thursday, November 4 at 5:30 pm.

The Bristol Bright Sparks Electronic Club will meet on alternate Wednesdays, Nov. 3 and 17, at 6:30 pm.

People News:

Nancy Young is home and on the mend! She thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers.  She's not sure when she'll be back, but we hope it'll be soon.  We miss you, Nancy!
