City Hall Luncheon
The Bristol Virginia City luncheon for employees will be on Tuesday, Nov. 25, starting at 11:30 am.
If you plan to attend, please let your supervisor know so she can
schedule you for a time. If you work evening shift, you can either take
your supper break very early or you can ask to have a plate brought
back for you to eat at your regularly scheduled time. The luncheon will
be in the City Hall lobby. LIS members, there is a sign-up sheet outside Christy's cubicle. We will try to let as many people go as possible, but we do have to keep the library open!
Staff Christmas Party
The staff Christmas party will be on Saturday, December 6, starting at 5:30 at Michelle's house. The library will provide the meat, green beans, rolls, and mashed potatoes. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share. A sign up sheet will be on the staff fridge so we'll have some idea of what folks are bringing. Musical entertainment will be courtesy of Barry & Wilson.
Laurie's Quilt
We
have another quilter on the staff! Laurie has hand-quilted this lovely
piece. It looks like surf and sand to me, but Laurie says that's just
coincidence. Great job, Laurie!
Way to Go, Joyce!
Congratulations
to Joyce for participating in this year's Turkey Trot! She set a new
personal best record and beat one of her long time rivals. We're proud
of you!
Flex Spending
Remember, December 5
is the deadline to sign up for flex spending. Brenda has copies of the
application in her office and a list of things for which the money can
be use
