Flu Shots, Fall Book Sale, and More

Flu Vaccinations

The City of Bristol, Virginia is offering free flu shots for employees on the following dates:

• Wednesday, October 4 from 8:00 am until noon
• Monday, October 23 from 1:00 pm until 4:30 pm

If you are unable to attend either session, you may go to a participating pharmacy and get the shot there.  Complete instructions and details are posted on the staff bulletin board. You will need to have a copy of your current insurance card to receive the free vaccination.

Thanks to Ambrea and Brenda G. for the delicious lunch! Especially the squash casserole, which amazingly just vanished, poof.  I have no idea what happened to it.  Not a clue.

Now a few folks have still failed to "pay up" for the food.  Please give Ambrea a recipe for the cookbook in return for all her efforts.  If you don't have a personal recipe, the folks in reference will be happy to help you find one.

Avoca Fall Book Sale

The Avoca Branch Library will be hosting a book sale on Oct. 5-7th.  Check the flyer for hours.  It should be a great sale!

BPL Rocks!

Remember, we will be painting rocks and eating pizza on Friday after work, which is better than painting pizza and eating rocks.  Just ask any dentist.  Join in on the fun! Avoca, this means you too!
