Tech Services Position

We start the new year with a job opening in Tech Services.  The notice has been posted on Facebook and on our website already.  Here is a link to the job description:

Income Tax Information

As of yet, we have not been told when we will receive the forms. They were ordered in November, but no shipping dates were given.  There is no 1040EZ or 1040A form this year, just a 1040.  The form is available on the irs.gov website but as of yet there is no dated listed as to when the IRS will start accepting returns.  We do not have a starting date for the tax help.

Text Notification

We have had several reports that patrons are not receiving text notifications of holds or other information.  Should someone call and report they are not receiving alerts, take down the usual information (name, number, etc.) but also please ask which phone carrier they are using.  Most of the reported problems so far are with T-Mobile, but there may be others.

We are sad to report that long time volunteer Becky Wilkerson lost her husband this week.  The obituary is here.
