May News & Events!

The library has purchased a new program to help people create a resume quickly.  It's Cypress Resume and it will help tailor a resume to fit the job industry desired.  To access it, people will go to our website and click on "Resources."  From the list on the left, they click on "Careers and Jobs."  Cypress Resume is the first entry. The same program will also create a cover letter and list of references. Patrons can access it from home as well as from the public computers.  They sign on by using their library card. Promotional materials will be available soon, including details of how to access the program.  Try it out by clicking here.

 Staff News
We've had some wonderful reports about Wanda!  She's recovering well and has been sitting out on her deck a bit.  We're looking forward to the day when she can come by for a visit.  Remember to wear your pink on Wanda Wednesdays!

Becky B. is going to have some surgery on her hand in the near future.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

If you've noticed that our displays haven't looked quite the same lately, it's because Charlotte, our wonderful volunteer, has taken a new job in Pennington Gap, VA. Of course, we're thrilled for her, but we do miss her.  She hopes to return to help out when things settle down a bit.  Hope to see you soon, Charlotte!

Christine M. has been dropping by to volunteer, as if she doesn't have enough to do with Moira, Ian, Calvin and the feline crew!  Thank you Christine!

Joan will be coming in to fill in occasionally when we're short-handed, just as Nancy P. has been.

 FYI
In case you hadn't heard, time on the public computers has been increased to 90 minutes.

We've had some complaints about loitering around the library.  If you see a problem, or if a patron reports a problem to you, please notify security immediately.

Happy Birthday

Anita (Foundation)  April 2
