Friday the Thirteenth: Our Lucky Day!

 A Fabulous Feast!

Thanks to Joyce, aided and abetted by Janice and Doris, the staff was treated to a wonderful Friday the Thirteenth Feast!  The day was snowy and blustery, but we warmed up quickly with the salmon patties, pot of bean soup, potato soup, whole potatoes browned in butter and cornbread.  There were chocolate chip cookies for dessert, if anybody had room! The only problem was that everyone wanted to hibernate afterwards-- or at least have a nap.

We are very lucky to have some fabulous volunteers here at BPL!  Today we wanted to spotlight Joe Lawson, who faithfully shows up to be sure our Large Print shelves are well stocked with books.  His gentle manner and cheerful smile make any day seem brighter.  Thank you for your service!

Gift Shop Contest!

 Janice has a huge Valentine box filled with chocolates to give to one lucky patron!  Folks just need to fill out a slip of paper with name and phone number and put it in the jar conveniently located in the Gift Shop. The drawing will be February 13th.
