Staff News, BPL Links & FYI

Stormi came through her gall bladder surgery and is recovering very nicely!  She would appreciate prayers and good wishes to speed her recovery.  She hopes to be back soon!

Get well wishes also go out to Brenda! She'd also appreciate prayers and good thoughts.

And Speaking of Health. . .

Remember all those New Year's Resolutions?  Well, you can help take care of the one about healthier living by attending a workshop sponsored by the City of Bristol about stress reduction, nutrition, and fitness! There's a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board near the employee entrance.  A time hasn't been scheduled, and signing up doesn't obligate you to go.  The current program should last about an hour. Oh, and it's FREE!

 Welcome!

Welcome to Tom Sullivan, our new security guard! He's as avid gardener and likes to walk.

BPL in the News
The event with Beth Holloway was a rousing success!  We've had many people comment on what an inspirational speaker she was.  Much good publicity was generated for the library, including the following:

There was also a nice follow-up article which pointed out the need for contributions to the Bristol Public Library Foundation in order to continue these programs.

FYI
Starting April 2, the time on the public computers will go from 60 minutes to 90 minutes per user.  This means that the computers will probably be heavily used on Sundays, and some folks may not be able to find a free computer. If the question comes up, encourage patrons to come on a different day if computer use is their primary purpose for coming to the library. We are not able to reserve computers for people.  It's first come, first serve.
