Salad Celebration, Book Sale, & More

Salad Day!
Everyone really came through for Salad Day and we had quite the feast!  Rebecca and Christy did a great job with presentation:

We celebrated Don's birthday, too:

Many thanks to all those who contributed!  Melba's potato salad and Brenda's macaroni salad disappeared very quickly-- hope everyone got some.  Then there was the incomparable Janice H.'s contribution:
The only trouble is that they were too cute to eat!!  And that Janice didn't stay to eat with us.  Next time, right??

Again, thank you everyone for bringing in all the wonderful goodies, and to those who put so much work into setting up and cleaning up.  Is this something everyone would like to do again?

And speaking of bugs...
This interesting specimen has been gracing the wall by the staff entrance for a few days.  It's a Pandora Sphinx Moth, and you can read more about it at Wikipedia by clicking on the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eumorpha_pandorus

Book Sale
The book sale which was originally scheduled for this weekend has been postponed.  The plan now is to have it occur as part of Rhythm and Roots weekend.  The library will not be open to the public, but the meeting room will be open for the sale and we may have a set-up down on the plaza.  Lisa and her committee will work out a schedule for the sale and for staffing. We'll let you know details as soon as possible. In the meantime, don't make any plans for R & R weekend!

Goodbye, Kellin!
Kellin is moving on to new adventures.  We'll miss her but wish her the best of luck!
