Book Sale!!

 The Avoca Friends of the Library will be having their fabulous Fall Book & Attic Sale this week!  Not only will there be books galore, but there will be some wonderful "Granny's Attic" items and probably some baked goods.  And we all know what great cooks the Avoca Friends are!!
 Here's the schedule:

Thursday & Friday, October 6 & 7  10:00 am- 5 pm

Saturday, October  8    9:00 am--Noon.

Hybrid Plan

In case you missed the earlier meetings, here's another chance to hear a presentation on the Hybird plan.
 

Due to October 13 being an early dismissal day for Fall Break we have rearranged the schedule slightly to hopefully attract more employees.

Hybrid group presentation – 1:45 p.m. – 2:15 p.m. (NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED – JUST SHOW UP!)

All sessions will be held in the School Board Room at 220 Lee Street, Bristol, Virginia 24201.

Flu Shots

Yes, it's that time of year again!  Here's the word from City Hall:

Everyone,

Please see attached memo regarding this year’s flu clinic.  It will be held Tuesday, October 25 from 8-12 and Thursday, October 27 from 1-5 here at City Hall.  Please have a copy of your insurance card from the City’s insurance (The Local Choice) along with the completed flu encounter form (also attached) to present on the day you get the shot.   Due to budget constraints, At-Work employees are ineligible this year to participate.   

Also, if you do not have the City’s insurance, but other insurance, you may present your card to the providers (Mount Rogers Health District) on the day of the clinics to see if they will accept the insurance, if they do not and you receive a vaccination, you may be responsible for payment.  It is advisable to check with your insurance company’s provider list.  Please contact me with any questions.

The flyer is posted to our bulletin board along with a copy of the flu encounter form.  Please make a copy and fill it out before you go for your shot.  For those in LIS, please let Ambrea know which day you wish to attend so she can schedule appropriately.
