Welcome, Clancy!

The tall, smiling gentleman you may have noticed upstairs is Clancy.  He'll be keeping the Teen Area open on weekends and helping the fine folks in Tech Services with processing books.  We're delighted to have him join the team!

Welcome Back, Kristin!

She's back!  After a sojourn in middle Tennessee, Kristin is back in the area and will be rejoining the LIS staff! She missed our transition to Sirsi, the lucky person, but I'm sure she'll be up to speed in no time flat.

Kil'n Time

We do have ten people interested, so it's a go! Actually, we have 11 people who are sure and another five who are interested.   Remember, if we get 20, there will be a 15% discount on what our purchases.  Right now it appears that more people will be coming after school (4 pm or thereabouts) but you can go in at any time.  Please let Jeanne know if you're interested in participating.  (Yoo hoo, Joan! You know you want to do this.) More information as we get closer to the date! 

Thanks for the Feast!

Many thanks to all the wonderful folks who brought food for our luncheon. Everything was delicious! The taco soup, chess bars, brownies, deviled eggs, cooked apples, zucchini bread, and boo-nanas, etc. Some of it disappeared so fast I don't even know what it was!  Which is a good thing.  It was all much appreciated! It was great to have our Avoca folk here--we don't have a chance to get together enough.   Another big thank you to those who set up and even more to those who undertook the usually thankless task of cleaning up. THANKS!!
